Medium - heavy weight coating fabrics such as wool, tweed, cashmere, Melton, boiled wool. Lighter weight fabrics such linen or flannel make for a beautiful Spring coat. For the lining we recommend lightweight slippery fabrics such as cupro, silk habotai, viscose challis or acetate.
This coat is only suitable for wider fabrics so we’ve only shown lay plans for 150cm wide fabric.
Please bear in mind that these fabric allowances do not account for fabric with nap, or directional prints. For that you will likely need more fabric than what we have recommended. To avoid the soul crushing disappointment that comes with realising you don’t have enough fabric for your project, we’d advise you err on the safe side and get more than you need!
For our featured samples, we used a deadstock camelwool from href=' target='_blank'>New Craft House, and a burgundy vegan wool from href=' target='_blank'>Fabric Godmother.
