Carhartt is a family-owned American company founded in '89 by Hamilton Carhartt, based in Dearborn, Michigan. Carhartt started out making clothing for the railroad workers but it evolved into a mainstream brand due to it's research into extending materials durability, use of heavy duty threads, flame-resistant fabrics and more. Nowadays Carhartt WIP (founded in '94) is a staple of streetwear and pop culture. The iconic Carhartt WIP logo represents durability and quality.
The Carhartt Whitsome Shirt Jacket is made from a midweight and durable 8 wale cotton corduroy. The item is garment washed to increase comfortability and to protect against shrinkage or loss of shape. It features nylon taffeta lining, vertical quilting, and two welt pockets.
